Four months after the opening of the 2018 Global Survey of Mathematical, Computing, and Natural Scientists, more than 16 500 answers have already been collected, yet we are aiming at reaching 45 000 respondents. During the coming months, focused efforts must therefore be made in all geographical zones and all disciplines to reach our target.
The geographical zones where special efforts are needed are North America and Eastern Europe, as well as Asia. The map above is somewhat misleading, since it shows absolute rather than normalized figures. The seemingly numerous answers from the US, India or China are not so when compared to their population or number of scientists.
The disciplines where special efforts are needed are Chemistry and Biology.
Please help us by inviting your contacts to complete the survey; promotional materials can be found here.
If you are interested in specific information about the responses in your country or your discipline please contact us.
Please note: It may happen that a respondent belongs to a country whose name does not appear on the list of countries provided. If the country of the respondent does not appear in the list, please skip the question (all questions in the survey are optional) and name the country in the comments box for the last question.
