Coordination meeting of the project takes place remotely on July 1st 2020

On July 1st 2020 members and partners of the Project “A Global Approach to the Gender Gap in Mathematical, Computing, and Natural Sciences: How to Measure It, How to Reduce It?” gathered over videoconference to update on the latest developments and plans for the joint endeavour.

The agenda for the remote meeting included updates from all partner unions, reports on the results and future plans of the three working packages as well as a fruitful discussion about next steps for the coming years.

A major update is the creation of a Standing Committee for Gender Equality in Science, a permanent organization formed by nine unions and partners that will start working in September 2020. Its goal will be to follow up the recommendations of the Gender Gap in Science project as well as maintaining and developing the tools created during the first years of the project.
