Coordination Meeting of the project in Berlin

Members of the project “A Global Approach to the Gender Gap in Mathematical, Computing, and Natural Sciences: How to Measure It, How to Reduce It?” and representatives of the partner unions gathered in Berlin on February 18-19, 2019 to reflect on the project’s status and to discuss about the next steps. The meeting took place at the Einstein Center Digital Future, located in the city center.

The two-day meeting was packed with updates on the several parts that make up the project: the Global Survey of Scientists has finished taking answers and data analysis is about to start; the joint analysis of publications is well underway in its efforts to gather and prepare data; the database of good practices for girls and young women is also coming along.

Below are some impressions of day 1

and day 2 of the meeting.

We’re very pleased at the status of the project just as its final year started. We thank all project members and partners for their relentless work and enthusiasm towards the project’s aim and goals.

The final conference for the project will take place on November 4-8 at the ICTP and Sissa in Trieste, Italy. See you there!
